Narrogin Cottage Homes is one of the largest providers of residential and community housing services in the Southern Wheatbelt.
We are committed to providing these services utilising:
- Quality Governance
- A quality environment;
- Quality staff
- Best Practice Care
All of our facilities are fully accredited under the Commonwealth Standards and undergo stringent assessments on a regular basis from the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency.
The development of Narrogin Cottage Homes commenced in the early 1960’s when local service organisations joined together to address the need to provide affordable housing for aged members within the community. Development has taken place in stages over the years with the first homes being built in 1963 and the original residential facility ‘Karinya’ being constructed in 1979.
Continual improvements have seen the facility expand to where today the village is comprised of ‘Karinya’, a 35 bed ageing-in-place facility and 64 self-contained units of various styles.
Construction of the 14 bed secure, dementia facility was completed in late 2017 and was officially named as the 'Maxwell Wing' in recognition of the enormous contribution Mr Rob Maxwell has made to the Narrogin Cottage Homes Board.
